The Perfect Bachelorette Trip in St. Augustine
Day 2: Historic Explorations
Now that you’ve gotten your beauty sleep, it’s time to explore some of St. Augustine’s iconic historic sites, while adding in a few delicious eats to keep you fueled up for the adventurous day ahead.
Start with a decadent brunch and bubbly at the Ancient City Brunch Bar. This St. George Street cafe offers customized brunch on a board or in a box for dining in or takeaway. With a wide array of signature breakfast sandwiches, French toast, waffles, and more on their menu, you’re sure to find something delicious worth indulging in.
After you’ve enjoyed your delicious French toast and vanilla latte, be sure to round the corner and tour the famous Lightner Museum and Flagler College. Both historic sites are STAPLES to St. Augustine’s history and charm. Don’t forget to take a stroll down downtown and shop some of the local stores like Red Pineapple, Two Sparrows, 360 Boutique, and more.
It’s time to head back over to the island where you’ll freshen up at the hotel before heading to a quaint dinner. But before you settle in to get ready, we highly recommend taking in the breathtaking view at one of St. Augustine’s iconic sites, the St. Augustine Lighthouse, located 2 minutes down the road from The Local.
Now that you’ve soaked in all of the Ancient City’s charm, it’s time to indulge in a delish meal overlooking the beautiful Salt Run. St. Augustine Fish House & Oyster Co offers live music on their outdoor deck and a huge variety of inspired cocktails. There’s no doubt that this sunset and dinner will be a highlight of your trip.
Day 3: Coastal Retreat
It’s time to soak up some of Florida’s spectacular sunshine, and you’re in luck! Your stay at The Local – St. Augustine is only 6 minutes away from St. Augustine’s beaches.
On your way to the sun and sand, be sure to grab an iced pick-me-up from our friends over at Kookaburra Coffee (their Aussie Pies are also the PERFECT breakfast for a long day in the sun).
With a long day spent at the beach, there’s nothing better than a delicious meal by the water. Here are a few of our favorite waterfront dining spots to wrap up your bachelorette celebration in St. Augustine:
Beachcomber St. Augustine is a casual dining experience directly on the beach of Anastasia Island. Their menu includes an assortment of “street tacos”, sandwiches, fresh local seafood, and Tropical Island drink concoctions.
The Conch House Marina Resort is within walking distance of the hotel, where you’ll find Caribbean-style cooking, offering the finest fresh seafood, pasta dishes, and vibrant salads. Enjoy your dinner and drinks while sitting under a palm tree on the outside deck or dine in one of their unique Jamaican-style grass huts over the water while overlooking the beautiful Salt Run.
Cap’s on the Water is home to the most stunning sunsets in all of Florida. They serve new coastal cuisine, pairing fresh local seafood with traditional Southern and Mediterranean flavors. Their handcrafted cocktails and award-winning wine list with over 500 selections pair perfectly with their large outdoor deck, creating one of the best waterfront dining experiences around.
Day 4: Checking out
As you bid farewell to the cobblestone streets and sun-kissed shores of St. Augustine, the echoes of laughter, the warmth of friendship, and the vibrant memories you’ve created will always linger. See you next time at The Local – St. Augustine!
